Merab has been dancing at the Georgia National Ballet since childhood with his dance partner, Mary. His world is turned upside down with the arrival of charismatic and carefree Irakli, who becomes his greatest rival and his greatest desire. In a very conservative environment, Merab awakens the need to free himself and risk losing everything.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Levan Akin is a Swedish filmmaker whose works usually deal with class and gender. Recently, he directed The Circle, based on the hit teen novel. He also directed the feature film Certain People, which premiered in 2012 at the Tribeca Film Festival to rave reviews. He directed several television series for SVT Drama, including the standout drama Real Humans. Levan Akin is currently writing and directing a new television series for SVT titled Dough that will be released in the spring 2021
